Anthony's Story

Anthony's Story told in Anthony's own words:

"God has blessed me since I came to fostercare. I was first taken away from my birthmom at 14 months of age. Then again when I was 8 years old because I was not being taken care of or protected. I was taken to live with a friend of my birthmom then 3 months later moved again to new foster parents. There I had 3 foster-siblings and a dog and I stayed there for 4 months. Since I was in a separate foster home than my littlest sister I was moved a 3rd time to new foster parents, Mr. Brian and Mrs. Shannon."

"I was so happy to come into fostercare because I knew I wouldn't have to go hungry ever. We have had so much fun since then. One thing I did with my foster dad, was spend quality time together, we went to get doughnuts and go look at bibles. Then with my foster mom, we went to the fair together with friends. Even when I did things wrong my foster parents still stuck with me and loved me. This verse has stuck with me, "Pure and undefiled religion, before our God and Father is this, to look after orphans and widows in their distress and keep oneself unstained by the world." James 1:27"

"Finally on May 30th, 2012 we got adopted. I felt so happy that day because I knew they loved me and I loved them. I knew that I was safe."

"If I ever saw my birthmom again I would say, "I forgive you for not protecting me and still love you." I would also tell her, "Jesus Christ died for your sins because you cannot pay for them on your own."
